Zacharias Mawick obtained the First State Exam of Law in Berlin and a Diploma in law from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 2015. The same year he started studying European History of Art, East Asian History of Art and Spanish. He will finish his studies at Universität Heidelberg in 2018.
During his studies at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Universitat de Barcelona and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Zacharias focused on private international and comparative law, intellectual property and, increasingly, art law. He attended a bilingual programme (German-Spanish) at Münster and gave talks in these languages in Berlin and Barcelona about copyrights and the protection of cultural heritage.
Zacharias is Rechtsreferendar at the Provincial Court of Mosbach (Germany) and recently preparing for his Second State Exam of Law. He was intern at the German-Spanish law firm MMMM abogados in Barcelona, at the art law firm Kemle Rechtsanwälte in Heidelberg and at the District Government of Mosbach.
Zacharias is member of the European Law Students Association and of the Institut für Kunst und Recht.
