New regime of movable security postponed again

By an amending law of 25 December 2016 (published on 30 December 2016) , the date of entry into force of the law of 11 July 2013 relating to movable security in rem has been changed again: the first extension (from 1 December 2014 to 1 January 2017) apparently did not suffice for the automated national register of pledges to become fully operational. The system will now become operational on 1 January 2018. The amending law also provides for a number of substantive adjustments amongst other things to allow retention of title clauses to be registered as well.
